Part 1: How to get to the Moon
To start, go and visit Dean Warlic at Gears University. He has a secret mission for you: Sys-Zero has gone missing and he needs your help to find him.
Sys-Zero was last seen near Tibattleonia, so you should start looking there. Dean Warlic will send you there. In Tibattleonia you must defeat 2 Shadowscythe, then you can be healed before facing the boss. Recover the black box and watch the video.
From the video it appears that Sys-Zero followed the Shadowscythe into the hills and was captured. You should try to rescue him. Defeat 2 Shadowscythe. You can be healed at the repair truck up to 5 times. A message from "Sys-Zero" suggests that his mind is being taken over by Shadowscythe. Battle a Shadowscythe version of Sys-Zero.
Time to fight back against the Shadowscythe: the Soluna military launch their starships for the moon, but find out they have been sabotaged. They crash land on the moon and the Kingadent wants you to rescue them.
However, first you must fix the starship in Soluna City. Warlic sends you to find the missing parts (some are too damaged to use; keep looking)and then you will be ready for take off ... as soon as you get permission from the Kingadent.
Buy a car from the car salesman on the east side of Soluna City, then go to the White Castle and meet the Kingadent (he's kinda weird). He gives you permission to go to the moon. Head back to the starship in Soluna City and if you're a Star Captain, it's free to fly, otherwise you'll have to pay the space-fare. Select the moon as your destination on the starmap.
Part 2: On the Moon with the Rebels
The Kingadent blames the starship wreckage on rebels on the moon. Collect 10 working power cells (and defeat the Shadowscythe nearby) and then you will find a black box. Note: there is no counter for the collected power cells. Either record on a piece of paper or just keep going until you find the black box. Remember, only working power cells count.
The Kingadent now wants you to destroy the rebels. Defeat 2 rebels (you can heal at the repair truck) and then the rebel leader. Before you completely destroy the rebel leader's mecha, 2 Shadowscythe fly overhead and destroy it for you. The rebel leader ejects and then you meet Odessa, who's furious with you for doing the Kingadent's dirty work. You have 2 choices: destroy her or rescue her.
If you choose to rescue her, the Kingadent sends the Shadowscythe after you. Defeat the
Shadowscythe and then you can meet Odessa properly. The "Rebels" were actually the elite guard of
the Soluna Defense Force and Admiral Odessa Pureheart was their leader. The Kingadent was behind the
sabotage, and now their crew is stranded. Help defend against the Shadowscythe or rescue other
soliders.
Part 3: Back in Soluna City (Cure Sys-Zero)
Visit Dean Warlic again because Nurse Helia thinks she's found a cure for Sys-Zero. First,
rush him to the MASH hospital base in your car. Once that is done, and he is starting to improve,
you can go back and search for starship parts to salvage from the battles around town
(see Warlic). The salvage shop has some rare mecha items. Go back and make sure he is improving by
repeating the cure Sys-Zero quest about 10 times (you can skip the car race if you want). What Sys-Zero
really needs to cure him is to see Admiral Odessa.
The Shadowscythe are attacking Soluna City again. Defeat 5 Shadowscythe commanders, then find out why the White Castle ordered the attacks. Slugwrath is not happy to see you. You defeat his mecha, but Slugwrath ejects in his escape pod, crash lands on an unfriendly planet, and is attacked by EvilCorp minions. The good news is that Admiral Pureheart is nominated for the job of Queenadent.
Part 4: Crystal Asteroid
Queenadent Pureheart asks you to join the crew of the starship SDF Reliant for an important mission. A huge crimson
crystal asteroid has entered the galaxy, followed by a Shadowscythe Armada. Your job is to land on the asteroid and
investigate why the Shadowscythe are so interested in it. Sys-Zero suspects it is some sort of energy source.
Defeat 10 Shadowscythe reconnaissance fighters and the boss: the Decimator (named with good reason!). After the battle, the asteroid starts breaking up from within. A large earthquake causes the ground beneath you to cave in, and you find yourself in an underground passage. Once you reach the exit, you can be beamed back to the starship.
The final cutscene shows the asteroid breaking apart to reveal a massive Dragonoid - who recognises you as a friend, and the Shadowscythe as an enemy.
Part 5: Legeia Incident
Ten thousand years ago, the dragons were very advanced and had forged peace in their sector of space so
that they could study magic-science. When the Shadowscythe began their conquest of the universe, the dragons went to war and built 10
Dragonoids that could obliterate whole armadas. The Shadowscythe were forced to retreat to their own galaxy. Then a Shadowscythe captain
called Valoth found a way to encase five of the Dragonoids in crystal and used an explosion to drive them away, drifting off around
the universe.
The other five escaped and the Shadowscythe lured them into a trap at the star system called Ligeia. The Shadowscythe sent a battle cruiser armed with explosives to trigger the star system's sun into turning supernova, destroying the whole system. The dragons saw the plot and activated a new untried technology called Hyper Ladder - and vanished into another dimension. One Dragonoid was destroyed, and the Shadowscythe returned to their galaxy to rebuild under Valoth's leadership.
